All any of us do is the best we can do in the circumstances. And the circumstances go beyond our own parenting limitations, our temperaments, our illnesses, our inheritance from family of origin...there is also the unique, one of a kind genetic make-up of each child in question. That's why a gracious God sorts it in the end. For this, I am grateful.
Connie--I hear you on this and agree wholeheartedly. Sometimes it's hard to LET God sort it out, especially when our idea of how it ought to look and His idea don't match up. I'm finding that presuppositions can cause more need for therapy than almost anything else!
