White Hart Renaissance Faire 2008

Lately Quotidian Light has been getting hits for people searching for information on White Hart Renaissance Faire. Well, I've got good news.

YES! It's happening again this year! Come one, come all!

June 21-22, 28-29 and July 5-6, 2008
Saturdays 10:00am-7:00pm, Sundays 10:00am-6:00pm

A map and directions can be found here. We've not been yet this year, but last year's faire was wonderful.

There were arms demonstrations:

A magician who captured memories of the faire straight out of your ear:

Cavalry demonstrations:

Falconry education and demonstrations (one of my favorites):

And Queen Elizabeth herself, presiding over the festivities:

There is nothing quite like White Hart. Highly recommended!

WHAT?!?! You don't think you'd enjoy something like this? The music is wonderful, too, and the shows--and there are a lot of them--are varied and entertaining. The wandering performers are great. One dresses in a plain brown robe and carves flowers out of twigs. He gives them away, and any donations you make to him, he gives to a charity. Some lovely people, and I've never known you to be not-fascinated with people.

I'm stunned.

Hey! I heard from several of my friends that said that that was awesome, but I never managed to get out there. I wish I had, but they might have one again next year or so.

Aaron--We live right across Hwy F from it and the lovely lady who in charge of it, have been every year since this one, and we love it. To my knowledge, it should be around for a long time. I certainly hope so; they are fine neighbors. You would, I think, love it, especially given some of your interests.

(Also, there's a standing invitation when you're done, to come across the highway, sit on our front porch with a glass of lemonade and tell us what you thought and what you enjoyed most about it. Seriously.)
